The University of Southern California (USC) seeks a BC/BE fellowship-trained breast surgical oncologist to join the Department of Surgery at Keck School of Medicine.

About the Role

This position offers the opportunity to work in a highly collaborative multidisciplinary environment, combining academic practice with community-based care. The successful candidate will join the Division of Breast, Endocrine, and Soft Tissue Surgery, which offers significant opportunities for program building and collaboration across clinical disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in multidisciplinary decision-making and clinical trials
  • Offer comprehensive care for benign, malignant, and high-risk breast cancer cases
  • Utilize minimally invasive and cosmetically optimized approaches, including nipple-sparing mastectomy and skin-sparing mastectomy
  • Partner with plastic surgeons to implement oncoplastic techniques
  • Contribute to the education and mentorship of fellows in breast surgical oncology
  • Engage in cutting-edge clinical research and participate in ACGME-accredited training programs

Requirements

  • Eligible for or certified by the American Board of Surgery
  • Successful completion of a Surgical Breast Oncology fellowship
  • Eligible for State of California Medical License

Qualifications

  • A strong commitment to teaching and clinical research
  • Experience in integrating surgery with systemic therapies in breast cancer care
  • Advanced surgical expertise in contemporary breast and regional nodal management
  • Proficiency in minimally invasive and cosmetically optimized approaches
  • Ability to partner with plastic surgeons for oncoplastic techniques
  • Interest in participating in clinical trials and ACGME-accredited training programs

Benefits

The annual base salary range for this position is $350,000-$400,000. Additional benefits may include health insurance, retirement plans, and professional development opportunities.

Schedule

The position offers a full-time schedule of 8 hours per day.
