About the role
The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Assistant/Associate Professor-in-Residence, Athletic Training, Department of Kinesiology and Nutrition Sciences, School of Integrated Health Sciences [R0151917].
Primary Responsibilities
- Teach a variety of graduate-level athletic training courses consistent with areas of contemporary expertise.
- Direct student clinical progression and maintain the highest standards of clinical excellence through regular site evaluations and preceptor engagement.
- Provide quality academic advising, mentor students toward professional mastery, and participate in departmental and University committees.
- Work effectively within a School that serves diverse majors and functions as an integral part of the university’s general education curriculum.
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: PhD or equivalent doctoral degree in a related field. Minimum of two years of university-level instructional experience.
- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Previous full-time academic appointment with teaching responsibilities, previous core faculty experience serving as Program Director or Director of Clinical Education, direct experience with CAATE accreditation processes.
