Assistant/Associate Professor DNP Program (Augusta Campus)
Job Summary
Augusta University's College of Nursing invites applications for full-time, 12-month faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor. The position does not meet the requirements to be on a tenure track.
Responsibilities
- Engage in didactic teaching in DNP core and/or concentration courses
- Course coordination and evaluation
- Partner with preceptors for student learning and evaluation
- Participate in curricular development and evaluation
- Participate on College of Nursing and university committees
- Mentor students in DNP projects
- Engage in scholarly activities (presentations and publications)
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate degree relevant to the area of practice (PhD, DNP)
- Active licensure to practice nursing in the state of Georgia or meet all eligibility requirements to apply for a nursing license in the state of Georgia
Preferred Qualifications
- Academic teaching experience in didactic and/or clinical instruction
- Comfort with technology-infused engaging pedagogical strategies including simulation and other active learning modalities
- Evidence of contribution to the profession and recognition at the local, regional, or national level
Shift/Salary/Benefits
This position is fiscal year based and works year-round. The intended work commitment or full-time equivalent (FTE) for this position is 1.0 and considered full-time.
Assistant Professor- Salary and compensation is commensurate with education, experience, and achievements. The salary is subject to availability of funds.
Associate Professor- Salary and compensation is commensurate with education, experience, and achievements. The salary is subject to availability of funds.
