Assistant Professor - DNP Program

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation of classroom and clinical instruction.
• Participate in student advising and registration processes.
• Full and active participation in Department of Nursing committees to assist in the continued evolution of the Department.
• Demonstrate professional integrity and commitment to professional nursing.
• Be available for counseling and advising students, and participate in academic activities.
• Maintain a regular schedule and punctuality to meet teaching commitments.
• Make up classes/clinical sessions missed and be available for appointments outside office hours.
• Inform students of mid-term and end-term progress during advisement meetings.
• File course outlines (syllabi) with the Chairperson, review rosters, submit attendance rosters, and submit final grades to the Registrar.
• Manage clinical sections as Course Coordinators, including curriculum planning, syllabus development, and coordination with clinical instructors.
• Participate in various committees, including accreditation reports, candidacy drafts, and self-study reports to the Accrediting agency and the State.

Requirements

• Must be a DNP-prepared Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) from an accredited institution.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Canvas, and the internet.
• Current NY State Professional RN license and CPR certification.
• Family Nurse Practitioner Certification.
• Ability to sit, stand, enter data, operate office equipment, hear, speak, see, and perform physical tasks related to clinical scenarios.

• Occasional local travel for training sessions/meetings.

Pay

USD $105,000.00/Yr. - USD $84,000.00/Yr.

Schedule

• Occasional evenings for Information Sessions.
• Occasional weekends.
