The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine seeks outstanding candidates for two full-time tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level in the Division of Cancer Biology.

About the role

As one of the oldest medical schools in the country, the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine is renowned for training leading healthcare professionals and pioneering research that advances patient care. The Division of Cancer Biology has a distinguished history of discovery within a dynamic, highly collaborative academic environment. Research focuses on fundamental mechanisms of tumor biology, including cell signaling, metabolism, gene regulation, and the tumor microenvironment. Appointees are expected to establish and maintain an innovative, externally funded research program that complements and extends the division’s existing strengths while contributing to its interdisciplinary mission. Successful candidates will receive competitive start-up support, dedicated laboratory space, and access to outstanding shared resources to enable rapid program growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a research group focused on mechanistic investigation of fundamental questions in cancer biology and/or the application of innovative technologies to produce new cancer biology discoveries.
  • Engage in other faculty responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree.
  • Three years of postdoctoral experience.

Qualifications

  • Track record demonstrating impactful publications in cancer-relevant research.
  • Track record of grant funding appropriate for career stage.
