Primary Purpose Of Position

The School of Business at North Carolina Central University seeks highly qualified applicants for a 9-month, tenure-track position of Assistant/Associate Professor of Accounting in the Department of Accounting.

Qualifications

• An earned Ph.D. in Business with a Major in Accounting from an AACSB-accredited institution
• Demonstrated potential for quality teaching and research
• ABD candidates from AACSB-accredited universities may be considered at the instructor level
• Teaching interests in accounting systems/data analytics and tax
• Experience using SAP preferred

Responsibilities

• Teaching
• Curriculum development
• Participation in the program’s assurance of learning efforts
• May consist of online instruction

Requirements

• Maintain an active program of scholarship
• Participate in service activities
• Exhibit a desire to teach at the undergraduate level, but may also be required to teach graduate courses
