About the role
Western Kentucky University (WKU) is seeking an Assistant/Associate Professor of Accounting to begin in August 2027. The successful candidate will teach a variety of accounting courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and engage in scholarly activity.
Responsibilities
- Teach a range of accounting courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels
- Engage in scholarly activity, including publication and presentation of research
- Provide service to the department, college, and university
- Maintain a regular on-campus presence
Requirements
- For Assistant Professor: Earned doctorate with an emphasis in Accounting from an AACSB-accredited U.S. institution (ABD candidates nearing completion may be considered)
- For Associate Professor: Record that merits appointment at the Associate rank
Qualifications
- Doctorate in Accounting from an AACSB-accredited U.S. institution
- Experience teaching accounting courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels
- Active research agenda
