Assistant/Associate Professor of Accounting

About the role

The Rinker College of Business seeks a full-time Assistant or Associate Professor of Accounting. The successful candidate will teach a range of undergraduate and/or graduate accounting courses, including financial and managerial accounting, as well as upper-level and graduate offerings. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in auditing, accounting information systems, and/or accounting analytics.

Responsibilities

• Maintain regular office hours
• Advising students
• Participating in college meetings
• Contributing to the broader academic community of the Rinker College of Business

Requirements

• Earned 18 graduate credit hours in accounting
• Demonstrated Christian commitment and the ability to integrate faith into coursework
• Applied experience in accounting, CPA preferred
• Prior collegiate-level teaching experience, preferred
• Commitment to teaching excellence and service to the college, university, and community

Qualifications

• A PhD in accounting is preferred but a D.B.A. or Master of Accountancy may be acceptable when combined with relevant accounting experience
• ABDs from an AACSB accredited institution may also be considered
• Authored multiple recent publications in peer-reviewed accounting or business-related journals is a plus
• The ability and interest in teaching evening, day, online, and on-campus modalities within our undergraduate and Master of Accountancy programs, required
• Demonstrated expertise in the discipline

The starting salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
