The Keck School of Medicine (KSOM) of the University of Southern California (USC) and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine are actively seeking a full-time faculty member to join their hematopathology program.

About the role

  • Collaborates with the CHLA Cancer and Blood Disease Institute (CBDI) to provide interdisciplinary care for pediatric patients with diverse hematologic conditions.
  • Serves as a referral center for multiple institutions and organizations.
  • Engaging and collegial environment with intertwining research, clinical service, and teaching responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrated excellence in applied laboratory science, translational research, and education.
  • Required American Board of Pathology certification in Anatomic and/or Clinical Pathology, and Hematology (Hematopathology).
  • May require Molecular Genetic Pathology certification and/or relevant experience.

Requirements

  • An MD, MD/PhD, or DO degree.
  • A California medical license upon hire.

  • Salary is commensurate with qualifications, experience, and scholarly accomplishments.
