Assistant, Associate or Professor in Medical Oncology
Job Summary
The University of Kentucky Markey Cancer Center and Department of Internal Medicine/Division of Medical Oncology/Hematologist is seeking a Board-Certified/Board Eligible Medical Oncologist/Hematologist to join the Department of Internal Medicine. This position will engage in clinical and/or basic research and care of medical oncology and hematology patients. This position will be based at King’s Daughters Medical Center, a 465 bed regional referral center located in Ashland, Kentucky. We seek a clinician focused on quality patient care and patient-oriented research.
Responsibilities
- Engage in clinical and/or basic research and care of medical oncology and hematology patients.
- Support the clinical research mission of the Markey Cancer Center with opportunities to develop and supervise clinical protocols, accrual of patients and participation in regulatory oversight programs for clinical research.
- Represent the University of Kentucky in a professional manner as an active member of the medical staff. This includes active participation in medical staff affairs, adherence to evidence-based practice standards, and a strong commitment to high standards of customer service.
Requirements
- Completion of internal medicine residency and fellowship training in Medical Oncology and Hematology.
- Eligible for Kentucky medical licensure.
- Board certified in Internal Medicine/board eligible in Medical Oncology and Hematology.

Required Education: MD or Equivalent
Required Related Experience: Completion of internal medicine residency and fellowship training in Medical Oncology and Hematology
License/Registration/Certification: Eligible for Kentucky medical licensure. Board certified in Internal Medicine/board eligible in Medical Oncology and Hematology
