Position Overview

The University of Missouri invites applications for a non-tenure track teaching faculty position in Exercise Physiology at the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor, Associate Teaching Professor, or Teaching Professor, depending on qualifications and experience.

Position Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate exercise and fitness courses, with potential teaching assignments in graduate programs.
  • Committee service is expected with possible opportunities in undergraduate program management.
  • Courses may be delivered in face-to-face, hybrid, or online formats.
  • The position is focused primarily on teaching and instructional excellence.

Qualifications

  • A PhD in Exercise Physiology or a closely related discipline by the time of appointment.
  • Candidates will be evaluated on Demonstrated record of quality instruction at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.
  • Professional certification such as American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), or comparable credentials.
  • Experience teaching in both in-person and online instructional modalities.
