Assistant or Associate Professor (10), Exercise and Nutrition Sciences
About the role
The department of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences within the School of Public Health & Health Professions invites applicants for a full-time, 10-month Assistant or Associate Professor position for Exercise Science. This is a tenure track position to begin in August 2026. Applicants conducting research in the areas of environmental physiology, respiratory physiology, and cardiovascular physiology are particularly desired, but all relevant fields will be considered. The ideal candidate will establish a line of research that will complement and/or build off current strengths of the School.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain an externally funded research program.
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Exercise Science.
- Mentor undergraduate and graduate students as well as participate in service activities (i.e., Department, School, University, and Professional Organizations).
Requirements
- An earned doctorate in exercise science, kinesiology, physiology, or related field
- Postdoctoral research training
- Record of peer-reviewed scientific publications consistent with experience
- Current extramural funding required for those entering as associate professor
Preferred Qualifications
- Evidence of securing external funding
- Relevant teaching experience in higher education
Salary Range
$80,000 - $93,000
