Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor (HS Clinical, Clinical X, In-Residence, Adjunct) Surgical Oncology

About the role

The University of California, San Diego (UCSD), Department of Surgery and Division of Surgical Oncology are committed to academic excellence within the faculty, staff, and student body. We seek faculty to join a highly interdisciplinary, programmatic effort dedicated to advancing the understanding and treatment of surgical oncologic diseases. The selected candidates will be responsible for research related to surgical oncologic diseases, teaching, and university service.

Qualifications

• Basic qualifications (required at time of application): PhD in biological sciences or a related field, an MD (or equivalent), or an MD/PhD.
• Preferred qualifications: Currently have an extramurally funded research program in basic science relevant to surgical oncology, experience in preclinical cancer modeling, particularly in the development, maintenance, and analysis of organotypic slice culture models, knowledge of pancreatic biology and physiology.
