Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor, Cancer Survivorship

About the role

The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center (Fred Hutch) is recruiting a full-time faculty member at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level to join Fred Hutch’s Cancer Survivorship Program and help grow its research portfolio. The overall mission of the interdisciplinary Survivorship Program is to enhance the care of cancer survivors by 1) rigorous research with national and international impact, 2) provision of outstanding clinical care, and 3) education and outreach.

Responsibilities

• Develop/continue an independent research program within our collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, which includes access to extensive cutting-edge Shared Resources.
• Contribute to the research mission of the Fred Hutch Cancer Center, focusing on adult cancer survivorship.
• Maintain a clinical practice (20-30% time) at Fred Hutch’s Survivorship, Oncology, or Supportive Care clinics, if desired.
• Engage in research activities that align with the mission and goals of the Survivorship Program.

Requirements

• PhD, MD/DO, or equivalent.
• Research interest in adult cancer survivorship.
• Experience in relevant clinical disciplines (MD/DO degree or foreign equivalent).
• Board certification in a relevant clinical discipline (MD/DO) or licensed clinical PhD degree.

Qualifications

• Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals.
• Grant writing experience.
• Experience in conducting clinical trials.

Skills

• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team setting.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.

Pay

• Annual base salary range for PhD researchers: $183,585 - $205,428 for Assistant Professor, $205,707 - $239,858 for Associate Professor, $234,970 - $363,282 for Full Professor.
• Annual base salary range for MD physician-scientists: $226,754 - $443,704 for Assistant Professor, $255,843 - $470,360 for Associate Professor, $287,056 - $523,267 for Full Professor.

Schedule

Fred Hutch is a modern campus located next to Lake Union in Seattle, Washington, and is close to other non-profit research institutes and the University of Washington and Seattle Children’s Hospital. The position is full-time.
