About the role
The University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix invites applications for three tenure-track faculty positions in the Department of Biomedical Informatics.
Responsibilities
Broadly defined areas of emphasis include, but are not limited to, computational medicine, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) in healthcare and medicine, clinical informatics, digital health innovation, biomedical data science and data-driven implementation science, particularly as applied to complex diseases such as diabetes, cancer, and other chronic health conditions.
Requirements
- PhD in Biomedical Informatics, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field
- Research experience in computational medicine, AI/ML, clinical informatics, or related fields
- Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals
- Excellent communication and teaching skills
Qualifications
- Experience with data analysis and management
- Knowledge of statistical methods and programming languages such as R, Python, or SQL
- Interest in interdisciplinary research and collaboration
Skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
