About the role

The Tulane Center for Biomedical Informatics and Genomics (CBG) at the Tulane University School of Medicine (SOM) is seeking outstanding applicants for multiple research-track assistant/associate/full professor positions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the current funded NIH projects related to neuroinflammation in aging and Alzheimer’s diseases.
  • Study the impact of neurotrophic virus on the neurovascular functions.
  • Develop cutting-edge research methods and technologies to further advance neuroscience research, including establishing novel and comprehensive human iPSC-derived organoid models.
  • Mentor graduate students on their research projects.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Neuroscience, Bioinformatics, Health Informatics, or a related field.
  • Strong publication record in relevant fields.
  • Experience in neuroinflammation, neurotrophic viruses, and/or iPSC-derived organoids.
  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills.

Skills

  • Expertise in neuroinflammation and neurotrophic viruses.
  • Knowledge of iPSC-derived organoid models.
  • Ability to develop and apply advanced research methods and technologies.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
