Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Education (Open Rank): Doctoral Programs - Ed.D. Leadership

USC Rossier School of Education seeks applicants for an open-rank non-tenure track position in the Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership (Ed.D.) program. This is an on-campus appointment with a preference for faculty who can deliver instruction both on campus and online.

About the role

The mission of the USC Rossier School of Education is to prepare leaders to achieve educational equity through practice, research, and policy. We work to improve learning opportunities and outcomes in urban settings and address disparities affecting historically marginalized groups. Through innovative thinking and research, we strive to solve intractable educational problems.

The Ed.D. in Educational Leadership program prepares students to lead educational institutions at all levels, including K-12 systems, higher education administration, and related fields. The program is delivered both on campus and online and is taught by nationally recognized faculty.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in the Ed.D. Educational Leadership program to a diverse group of graduate students in residence and online.
• Supervise and support graduate students in their research to complete their dissertations.
• Participate as a faculty member in the K-12 concentration to support the continued development, implementation, and evaluation of courses, with particular emphasis on the K-12 and higher education concentrations.

Requirements

• A doctoral degree or other terminal degree is required; a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership is preferred.
• Preference may be given to individuals with senior-level experience, such as a School District Superintendent, Senior Executive in a community college, college, or university, a Charter Management CEO, or an Independent School Head of School.
• Candidates with a background and demonstrated commitment to equity and improving opportunity and outcomes for historically underserved groups are especially desired.

Pay

The annual base salary range for this position is $150,000 - $175,000. When extending an offer, the University considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, and external market considerations.
