About the role
The Department of Medicine at the University of Florida is seeking applications for a full or part-time medical oncologist for a clinician-researcher track position in the Division of Hematology/Oncology at the Assistant Professor rank or higher.
Responsibilities
- Primary focus on clinical care
- Significant contribution to clinical and translational research
- Participation in team-based research initiatives
- Engagement in teaching students, residents, and fellows in both clinical and inpatient settings
- Collaboration in various activities including subspecialty and multidisciplinary clinics, cancer case and research conferences, and clinical trials
- May include an assignment at the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center
Requirements
- Board-certified or board eligible in Medical Oncology
- Eligible for a Florida Medical License or eligible for a Medical Faculty Certificate
Qualifications
- Commitment to high-quality patient care, research, and academic excellence
- Membership in the University of Florida Health Cancer Institute (UFHCI)
- Collaborative, multidisciplinary environment with members from all 16 colleges at the University of Florida (UF)
- Resources for professional development including leadership, education, and research training through support from the UF Health Cancer Institute, Clinical Translational Science Institute (CTSI), formal mentorship programs, and supported opportunities for teaching and research
- Support for clinical research through the UF Health Cancer Institute Clinical Research Office
