About the role
The UMKC Division of Dental Hygiene prepares students to become competent, adaptable oral health professionals who actively contribute to improving the public's oral health. As the only program in Missouri to award a baccalaureate degree in dental hygiene, and part of our state's only public dental school, we offer a long-standing, community-focused education that equips graduates to plan, implement, and evaluate dental hygiene care for populations across the lifespan.
Responsibilities
- Classroom, laboratory, and clinical teaching and evaluation in the clinical entry level program
- Service on School of Dentistry Committees
Qualifications
- A minimum of a Master’s Degree in dental hygiene education or education, public health, educational technology or related fields OR be actively pursuing a Master’s Degree (in related field)
- Current license or eligibility for a Missouri dental hygiene license – including local anesthesia infiltration/block/ and nitrous oxide
- To be considered for the rank of Clinical Associate Professor: Candidates must possess a Master’s Degree
- Demonstrate a consistent pattern of continuing education to maintain clinical skills and active dental hygiene licensure
- Clinical instruction, didactic, or pre-clinical laboratory instruction experience
