Assistant Administrator
About the role
Aid in maintaining the community’s licensure and certification; ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
In the absence of the administrator, take on the responsibilities of operating the community.
Maintain positive relationships with governmental agencies conducting surveys and inspections.
Stay informed about Medicare Prospective Payment issues affecting the health center operations.
Monitor and review Quality Indicator Reports; participate in monthly AR meetings and collection efforts.
Approve applications for representative payees for eligible residents/patients; coach team members on effective falls programs, life enrichment, and activities programming.
Supervise assigned department directors; attend and contribute to department director and community meetings.
Provide coaching and development to leaders and team members.
Responsibilities

- Conduct health center physical inspections; perform evaluations for State Board of Health inspections.
- Stay informed about Medicare Prospective Payment issues affecting the health center operations.
- Monitor and review Quality Indicator Reports; participate in monthly AR meetings and collection efforts.
- Approve applications for representative payees for eligible residents/patients; coach team members on effective falls programs, life enrichment, and activities programming.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Possess a valid state Nursing Home Administrator License or meet the requirements to obtain or transfer to a state Nursing Home Administrator License within 60 days.
- Completed an Administrator in Training Program in a health care or life care community environment.
- Possess a valid Assisted Living Administrator certificate or license or meet the requirements to obtain or transfer to the current state within 120 days.

- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Skills
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to senior living communities.
- Experience with Medicare Prospective Payment systems.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
