Assistant-Administrative
About the role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional Administrative Assistant to join our Plastic Surgery department. This role is essential for ensuring smooth patient flow, accurate documentation, and effective coordination across multiple teams and departments.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient check-out, scheduling, and insurance verifications
- Scan documents and manage RightFax communications
- Cook with RCS, Surgery Department, Eskenazi, and other partners
- Address basic administrative and technical issues as they arise
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Requires 0-3+ years relevant experience; previous administrative experience preferred
- Requires basic proficiency in MS office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Requires experience with matrix organization and complex work environment
Tools for Success
- Previous medical office experience is a plus!
- Proficiency in Cerner and MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Able to multitask and work under pressure
- Professionalism and documentation accuracy
- Coachable and able to de-escalate situations effectively
