Key Job Responsibilities
- Supervise the processing of invoices, payment runs, and expense reports.
- Ensure timely and accurate posting of transactions in the accounting system.
- Monitor and reconcile vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Develop and maintain accounts payable policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and UAE VAT regulations.
- Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
- Manage vendor relationships and resolve payment-related issues.
- Prepare accounts payable reports including aging analysis and cash flow projections.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Set performance goals and conduct evaluations.
- Ensure team adherence to deadlines and quality standards.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CMA, CA) are a plus.
- 4–7 years in accounts payable, preferably in a group of companies or large corporate environment.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.), MS Excel, and accounting software.
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
