Job Summary

The Assistant Account Manager provides support in account-service processes, assisting with certificates of insurance, policy changes, and client presentations. This role requires meeting daily production standards and service commitments.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assists the Account Management team with all aspects of the account-service process.
  • Responds to policy inquiries via phone and email.
  • Fields phone calls from insureds regarding coverage, changes, additions, payments, and cancellations.
  • Responsible for service work as needed, including certificates of insurance, policy changes, and client payments.
  • Participates in the renewal preparation process, generating renewal updates on accounts.
  • Assists with marketing clients to carriers.
  • Affords premium financing and collects premiums.
  • Checks policies/endorsements and audits for accuracy.
  • Prepares quotes and proposals.
  • Provides professional, courteous service to clients, carrier representatives, underwriters, business partners, and HUB colleagues.
  • Maintains accurate and organized account files by documenting conversations and updating computer systems.
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School/GED
  • 1-2 years insurance industry experience or equivalent combination of education & experience
  • Property & Causality License required
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts, communicate orally and in writing, prioritize tasks, and use critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
  • Desire to learn and grow within the insurance industry.
