The Opportunity
The Assistant Account Manager supports the Account Management team in various tasks, including certificate of insurance, policy changes, and client presentations.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assists with policy inquiries via phone and email
- Fields calls from insureds regarding coverage, changes, additions, payments, and cancellations
- Handles service work such as certificates of insurance, policy changes, and client payments
- Participates in the renewal preparation process, generating renewal updates on accounts
- Supports marketing clients to carriers
- Affords premium financing and collects premiums
- Checks policies/endorsements and audits for accuracy
- Prepares quotes and proposals
- Provides professional, courteous service to clients, carriers, underwriters, business partners, and HUB colleagues
- Maintains accurate and organized account files by documenting conversations and updating computer systems
- Performs other duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications
- High School / GED
- 1-2 years insurance industry experience or equivalent combination of education & experience
- Property & Causality License required within first 6 months
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts, communicate effectively, analyze and solve problems, prioritize tasks, and use computer skills
- Desire to learn and grow within the insurance industry

- Primarily stationary position for the majority of the workday
- Frequent communication with colleagues and clients
- Constantly operates computers and office machinery
