About the role

Daiwa Capital Markets America Inc. (“DCMA”) is a New York-based registered securities broker-dealer, a futures commission merchant, a primary dealer of U.S. Treasury securities, and a member of the New York Stock Exchange and other major U.S. exchanges. Our main focus is on the sales and trading of Japanese, Asian, and U.S. equities, fixed income instruments, financial futures, and investment banking for institutional customers. DCMA’s ultimate parent company is Daiwa Securities Group Inc., one of the largest brokerage and financial services groups in Japan.

Core Responsibilities

  • Update the corporate actions applications and to reflect voluntary and mandatory distributions and other events that are announced.
  • Ensure accuracy and timely communication to clients, while following the established protocols and processes of the firm.
  • Monitor and analyze upcoming corporate actions, processing events in accordance with established procedures and systems, determining entitlement, and processing related financial transactions.
  • Work with data and serve as a business analyst to produce and roll out automations within the corporate actions team and other areas of Operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution.
  • 5+ years’ related experience within Operations, Asset Services, Corporate Actions required.
  • Experience with voluntary corporate actions required.
  • Technical skills, specifically data management, analysis, and automation.
  • Series 99 preferred.

Work Schedule

Required to work in the New York office 5 days per week for the first 90 days of employment, and then 3-4 days per week after full training is completed.
