Asset Management - Equity Research Analyst, Software - Executive Director
About the role
The Research Analyst is responsible for developing and assisting in the implementation of equity ideas in software and outside of technology (such as industrials). The Research Analyst will work with the portfolio management team to recommend and execute tactical investment strategies in order to generate alpha. The Research Analyst will collaborate with the team to assist in communicating key aspects of the investment philosophy, process and performance of the portfolios. The Research Analyst will prepare marketing presentations, place trades, and assist with various documentation projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop and assist in the implementation of equity ideas in software and non-tech industries.
- Work with the portfolio management team to recommend and execute tactical investment strategies.
- Collaborate with the team to communicate key aspects of the investment philosophy, process, and performance of the portfolios.
- Prepare marketing presentations and assist with various documentation projects.
- Place trades as part of the investment strategy.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in equity analysis (buyside, hedge fund, or sellside), with a comprehensive understanding of fundamental and quantitative analysis techniques.
- Undergraduate degree required.
- Comfort and demonstrated success at making successful recommendations within software and non-tech industries.
- Ability to evaluate, recommend, and implement tactical investment ideas across US markets.
- Strong communication, client presentation, and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Excellent financial modeling skills, advanced user of Bloomberg, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities And Skills
- A undergraduate degree in math, physics, computer science, engineering, or statistics is preferred.
- Candidates with experience in management consulting will be considered.
