About the Role
Visa's Corporate IT organization is seeking a technically skilled Asset Management Analyst who combines a strong software engineering background with a genuine interest in business operations. As part of the End User Operations (EUO) branch, you will own the full lifecycle of IT assets for our 40,000+ global end users — while simultaneously designing and building the automation, tooling, and data pipelines that make that lifecycle smarter, faster, and more reliable. This is not a traditional ITAM role. We are looking for engineers who are energized by operational problems and want to solve them with code.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain automation scripts, internal tools, and integrations that streamline asset lifecycle workflows — including procurement, provisioning, refresh, and decommissioning
- Develop data pipelines and ETL processes to reconcile inventory across multiple systems of record (ServiceNow, SQL databases, procurement platforms, spreadsheets)
- Create and maintain dashboards and self-service reporting tools that provide real-time visibility into asset inventory, lifecycle status, and compliance posture
- Identify manual, repetitive, or error-prone processes and own their automation end-to-end, from design through deployment and monitoring
- Contribute to and maintain a scalable internal tooling codebase with documentation, code review, and engineering best practices
Asset Management Operations
- Execute and enforce the full IT asset lifecycle: procurement, receiving, provisioning, inventory tracking, refresh, and secure disposal/decommission
- Perform monthly inventory validation audits across Visa sites, including reconciliation of certificates of destruction for decommissioned assets
- Reconcile inventory across systems and statuses (in-stock, in-use, in transit, legal hold, pending disposal) and ensure accuracy at all stages
- Manage the asset refresh cycle for the assigned region, coordinating with logistics, end users, and IT support teams
- Ensure timely delivery of assets and services using established procurement procedures, escalating delays proactively
Controls, Reporting & Compliance
- Produce accurate ad-hoc, monthly, and quarterly inventory reports; drive accuracy improvements through automation and tooling
- Ensure audit and control regulations are met, including asset reconciliation, disposal certifications, and compliance documentation
- Derive and maintain operational metrics aligned to OLA/SLAs; surface anomalies and trends proactively to leadership
- Build and maintain multi-year financial models to forecast hardware refresh spend, asset depreciation schedules, and total cost of ownership (TCO) across the global device fleet
- Partner with Finance to develop and validate budget models for annual planning cycles, including scenario analysis for device refresh acceleration, fleet expansion, or vendor transitions
- Translate asset lifecycle data into forward-looking financial projections, including end-of-life timelines, warranty expiration curves, and capital expenditure forecasts aligned to Visa’s fiscal calendar
Stakeholder Engagement & Continuous Improvement
- Partner with Finance, Procurement, and cost center owners to maintain effective communication and alignment on inventory data and asset spend
- Manage relationships with hardware vendors and logistics partners to ensure smooth, on-time delivery of services
- Proactively identify process gaps and champion solutions — writing the tool or script yourself where practical
- Contribute to ITAM projects and strategic initiatives, representing the team's engineering and operational perspective
Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications: 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)
- Preferred Qualifications: 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field
- 4 years of experience in a software engineering, DevOps, IT operations, or technical business analyst role
- Hands-on software development experience — proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language (Python strongly preferred; PowerShell, Go, or JavaScript also valued)
- Working knowledge of IT asset management concepts and lifecycle practices
- Proficiency with Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data manipulation
- Experience building internal tooling, workflow automation, or operational dashboards
- Experience integrating with enterprise platforms via API (ServiceNow, Jira, SCCM, or similar ITSM/ITAM systems)
- Familiarity with data pipeline or ETL concepts; experience with SQL or data querying tools
- Experience building financial models or forecast tools — particularly for hardware spend, depreciation, or capital planning — using Excel, Python, or BI platforms such as Tableau or Power BI
- Experience with version control (Git) and applying software engineering best practices to operational scripting
- Ability to operate at the detail level while maintaining strategic alignment with broader business objectives
- Strong analytical and organizational skills; comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
- Congfident communicator who can bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders and speak up when something does not make sense
- Self-directed and proactive — brings energy, curiosity, and a bias toward building solutions rather than documenting problems
