Assessment & Referral Clinician Contact Center Every Other Weekend 1st Shift

What Will You Do?

• Work collaboratively with other community agencies on behalf of clients and/or the organization.
• Professionally and calmly handle crisis calls to determine appropriate next steps in the assessment process.
• Conduct face-to-face and telephone consultations with patients in crisis/psychiatric emergencies to assess their clinical condition and recommend the appropriate level of clinical care.
• Cook up admissions and/or intakes, including interfacing with insurance and managed care companies for authorization.
• Refer patients to outpatient services, whether within or outside the system when necessary.
• Ensure that medical record documentation protocols are complied with.
• Ensure that persons’ assessment information is entered into the medical records on a timely basis and in accordance with established organizational and departmental procedures.
• Ability to respond to a range of clients' needs using differential diagnoses and treatment approaches.

What Does This Role Require?

• Current, valid license in MI as LLP, LMSW, or LLMSW.
• Obtain and maintain in good standing certification commiserate with treatment provided.
• Able to provide culturally inclusive care with a wide range of individuals in a diverse community setting.
• Interpersonal relationship skills necessary to relate to a wide variety of internal and external contacts including patients and families, multi-disciplinary treatment team members, other hospital employees, and a variety of individuals in the social sphere of the patient under treatment.
