Assessment Assistant PT

Under the direction of the Assessment Director and the Testing Coordinator, you will be part of a team of testers who administer the Acadience Reading Assessment in schools.

About the role

• Assessments are conducted three times a year:
  • Beginning of Year: start of school – end of September
  • Middle of Year: December 1 – end of January
  • End of Year: middle of April – June 15
• During each testing window, you work every day during regular school hours.
• There is a training day before each window begins.
• The test is administered one-on-one to all K-3 students in the district using a touch-screen Chromebook.

Requirements

• Ability to use a touch-screen device.
• Experience working with children.

Qualifications

• Lane 2 Step 1: Not Highly Qualified.
• Lane 3 Step 1: Associate’s degree or 48 semester hours from an accredited college/university (or Highly Qualified status).

Pay

• Lane 2 Step 1: $18.88/hour (effective 7/1/2026).
• Lane 3 Step 1: $19.94/hour (effective 7/1/2026).

Schedule

• 17 hours per week during testing windows.
• No work between testing windows.
