Salary Range: $28.85 - $41.83. Compensation may vary based on qualifications, skills, experience, and location.

About the role

The Assembly & Test Planner manages the production plan at PC Genesee. The main objective is to establish a production plan aligned with demand in SAP and reflect actual activities in the system to ensure ERP planning matches production. You will advise the Operations team on resource needs, overtime, or subcontracting by identifying demand over capacity. Collaborate with Team Leads to create achievable, growth-targeted work-to lists. Periodically review backlog orders, reschedule as needed, and address root causes of schedule adherence issues. Optimize factory planning processes alongside the Planning Manager. Maintain planning data in SAP and update the planning tool monthly with new supply, labor, and machine information. Review and report on OTD, schedule adherence, output value, and other KPIs. Support the Planning Manager with additional duties as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Reflect actual production activities in the ERP system.
  • Advise Operations on resource needs, overtime, or subcontracting due to demand exceeding capacity.
  • Collaborate with Team Leads to create achievable, growth-targeted work-to lists.
  • Review backlog orders, reschedule as needed, and identify root causes of schedule adherence issues.
  • Embed root cause findings into future work-to lists.
  • Optimize factory planning processes with the Planning Manager.
  • Maintain and update planning data in SAP.
  • Refresh the planning tool monthly with new supply, labor, and machine information.
  • Review and report on OTD, schedule adherence, output value, and other KPIs.
  • Support the Planning Manager with additional duties as required.

Requirements

  • Ability to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Experience planning or analyzing data.
  • ERP experience, ideally SAP.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, especially Excel.
  • Ability to read, understand, and react to KPIs.
  • 2+ years of experience working with data and reports.
  • Experience with Power BI.
  • Experience with Kinaxis preferred.
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship available at this time).

  • Moving Objects/Lifting/Carrying: Occasionally moves objects up to 20 pounds, such as tools or materials, with minimal to moderate exertion.
  • Bending/Twisting/Reaching: Occasionally (20-30% of the time) to access equipment or inspect machinery.
  • Repetitive Motions: Occasionally (20-30% of the time), such as typing or adjusting equipment.
  • Environmental Factors: Frequently exposed to moderate noise levels (e.g., machinery) and occasionally to contaminants or hazardous equipment (20-30% of the time). May require protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses, hard hats) when on the shop floor (30-50% of the time). Works in both office and manufacturing settings with constant interaction with others.
