Sr. Assembly & Test Technician (Edwards Vacuum)

Location: Buffalo, NY – Western New York Science & Technology Advanced Manufacturing Park (STAMP). Facility address: 6685 Crosby Rd, Basom, NY 14013.

About the role

The Senior Assembly & Test (A&T) Technician supports multiple work centers—electronics, pump module assembly, system assembly & test, and final assembly—to ensure seamless production flow and high-quality output. The role focuses on building and assembling modules, cables, and dry pumps using engineered drawings and documented procedures, meeting build standards and maintaining continuous throughput. The Senior A&T Technician also trains and mentors other technicians.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test modules, cables, and dry pumps in line with the daily production plan, prioritizing quality and output targets.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area.
• Follow assembly and test instructions and procedures to meet quality requirements.
• Support the training of team members and collaborate to drive improvement and efficiency.
• Maintain strong working relationships with colleagues and supporting departments.
• Communicate and seek guidance when encountering errors or build difficulties.
• Perform quality checks to ensure assemblies meet standards.
• Train and mentor other technicians as required.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent, with relevant experience.
• Knowledge of mechanical component construction, assembly, and test principles (dependent on assigned area).
• Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings and diagrams.
• Experience with hand tools and small power tools, including pneumatic tools.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Minimum 2 years of assembly and test experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. (sponsorship not available).

Pay

Salary Range: $21.63 - $31.27 per hour. Compensation may vary based on qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location.
