Assembly Technician II (1st Shift)

About the role

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is seeking an Assembly Technician II (1st Shift) at 415 Puckett Ferry Road in Greenwood, SC. The rate for this position is $20.00 per hour. The core hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 am until 3:30 pm. This position is eligible for a variable incentive plan.

Responsibilities

• Meet daily production targets with a strong focus on safety, quality, delivery, inventory management, and productivity
• Assemble Low Voltage Assemblies and perform all related tasks, including those assigned to Assembler I (Flex and Lean)
• Operate assembly machinery
• Perform PowerWave2 hi-pot testing, label creation, quality verification, and complete material transactions in AS400
• May be required to obtain or maintain QEW certification to perform electrical testing on assemblies
• Use a variety of tools, fixtures, gauges, and equipment to assemble, adjust, or repair components
• Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings
• Follow standard operating procedures, method sheets, and both written and verbal instructions from supervisors
• Perform visual inspections and quality checks before, during, and after assembly to ensure all products meet specifications
• Apply identification labels to completed assemblies
• Support production flow by retrieving and delivering materials, preparing assemblies for shipment or storage, and completing associated material transactions
• Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and WSRA requirements
• Provide support across production areas

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• 6 months of industrial manufacturing experience
• 6 months of experience using hand and air tools
• Proven problem-solving skills
• Collaboration with team members
• Being flexible and open to changes in processes or tasks
• Maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe workplace (5S+)
• Able to work independently with minimum direction
• Able to stand for long periods
• Able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs and push or pull up to 100 lbs with or without accomodation
