Innomotics is an industry-leading supplier of motors and large drive systems with over 150 years of engineering expertise. Our products power essential industries and support the global energy transition. We are seeking an Assembly Technician to join our team in New Kensington, PA, reporting directly to the Production Supervisor.

Schedule

  • 2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 3:00 PM–12:00 AM
  • Friday, 10:00 AM–2:00 PM

Responsibilities

  • Wire and assemble drives, sub-assemblies, and components following engineering drawings, wiring schematics, and bills of material using hand and power tools.
  • Perform component assembly tasks including fitting, aligning, drilling, cutting, and grinding materials (e.g., metal, plastic).
  • Lift and position products using overhead cranes and material handling devices (e.g., power jacks, forklifts).
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area using 5S practices and adhere to all safety policies and PPE requirements.
  • Follow ISO workmanship procedures and collaborate with Quality Assurance to meet customer expectations.
  • Identify discrepancies or questionable conditions and communicate them to appropriate personnel.
  • Actively participate in Lean continual improvement initiatives and assist less experienced associates.
  • Work overtime as required and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proficiency with basic hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring schematics, and bills of materials.
  • Ability to climb and work at heights above waist level.
  • Occasional heavy lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Basic math and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a production environment.
  • Minimum of one year of mechanical, electrical, or related experience.
  • Basic digital literacy.
  • Associate degree in electrical or electronics preferred.

Pay

  • Pay range: $18.50–$24.00 per hour.
  • Shift differential: Additional $2.50 per hour for 2nd shift.
  • Actual wage may vary based on experience, skills, qualifications, and geographic location.
