Assembly Technician - 2nd Shift
Location: New Kensington, PA, US, 15068. $1500 sign-on bonus and $1500 employee referral bonus available.
About the role
Innomotics, an industry-leading supplier of motors and large drive systems with over 150 years of engineering expertise, is looking for an Assembly Technician to join our team in New Kensington, PA. In this role, you will complete mechanical and electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies under close supervision, reporting directly to the Production Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Wire and assemble drives, sub-assemblies, and various components in accordance with engineering drawings, wiring schematics, and bills of material using hand and power tools.
- Perform component assembly tasks including fitting, aligning, drilling, cutting, and/or grinding materials (e.g., metal, plastic).
- Lift and position products precisely using overhead cranes and other material handling devices (e.g., power jack, fork truck).
- Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area by utilizing 5S practices and following prescribed safety regulations.
- Adhere to all safety policies and utilize all personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Review and follow all ISO workmanship procedures.
- Work with Quality Assurance to meet internal and external customer expectations.
- Identify discrepancies and questionable conditions related to tasks and communicate them to appropriate personnel.
- Actively participate in Lean continual improvement initiatives.
- Assist less experienced associates.
- Work overtime as required.
- Perform other duties as requested, advised, or assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proficient use of basic hand and power tools.
- Ability to perform responsibilities from engineering drawings, wiring schematics, and bills of materials.
- Ability to climb to different heights and work at heights above waist level.
- Occasional heavy lifting up to 50 pounds may be required.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Basic math and problem-solving skills.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a production environment.
- Minimum of one-year mechanical, electrical, or related experience.
- Basic digital literacy.
- Associate degree in electrical or electronics.
Schedule
2nd Shift - Monday through Thursday, 3:00 PM to Midnight; Friday, 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $18.50 to $24.00 an hour, with a $2.50 shift differential for working second shift. The actual wage offered may vary based on budget, candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
