Assembly Production Technician (2nd Shift)
About the role
Under general supervision, uses hand tools and electric tools to mount parts, fabricate sheet metal enclosures, assemble power stacks and install power wire and/or wire harness for various products according to job shop instructions and by following the company's workmanship standards. Possess the basic understanding of measuring to 1/32nd of an inch with a temp measurer, torque tolerance and hardware assembly. Complete other duties as assigned. This role involves cross-training opportunities in other departments to enhance skills and support team needs.
Responsibilities
- Uses hand tools and electric tools to mount parts, fabricate sheet metal enclosures, assemble power stacks and install power wire and/or wire harness for various products according to job shop instructions and by following the company's workmanship standards.
- Possess the basic understanding of measuring to 1/32nd of an inch with a temp measurer, torque tolerance and hardware assembly.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
- Involves cross-training opportunities in other departments to enhance skills and support team needs.
Requirements
- High School Degree or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of hire.
- 0-2 years’ demonstrated fabrication, sheet metal, carpentry or related experience.
- Possess the basic understanding of measuring, torque tolerance and hardware assembly.
- Able to work independently to complete milestones.
- Demonstrated ability to meet quality and productivity standards within team.
- Good time-management skills and ability to set priorities.
- Availability and willingness to work hours as needed to meet critical deadlines.
- Strong commitment to quality, safety, customer service and teamwork.
Qualifications
- This position requires the ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods, up to 8 or more hours per shift, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must be able to safely lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Requires frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, twisting, and repetitive use of the hands and arms to perform job duties.
- Must be able to use hand tools, power tools, and other manufacturing equipment safely and effectively.
- Requires sufficient visual acuity to inspect parts, read work instructions, and perform quality checks.
- Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment that may include exposure to noise, moving machinery, varying temperatures, and other industrial conditions while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Schedule
Monday-Thursday, 2pm-12:30am (4 days/10 hours) (weekend work and overtime as needed)

Note: During first 30 days of training, you must be able to work during 1st shift schedule (Mon-Fri. 6am-2:30pm) hours. Once training is complete, you'll begin working 2nd shift schedule.
