Essential Functions

• Work according to operator instruction sheets and/or verbal instructions to perform operations.
• Check products and/or component dimensions using various indicators and gauges as per procedures or work instructions.
• Change simple parts and fixtures to facilitate product type changes.
• Visually and manually inspect products or workmanship for defects.
• Input data daily to maintain charts and reports supporting manufacturing, engineering, quality, material control, and sales.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area following the 5S policy.
• Comply with work instructions and procedures to ensure products conform to TS16949 and ISO14000 standards and customer quality requirements.
• Suggest and implement continuous improvement programs.
• Communicate machine issues and failures to support staff and coworkers.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Manufacturing or industrial experience preferred, particularly in electronic/mechanical equipment assembly or high-speed equipment operation.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment to meet production goals, including cycle time, Takt time, scrap rates, etc.
• Sufficient reading and writing skills to follow work order instructions and prepare simple production reports.
• Basic math skills necessary for calculations and measurements.
• Manual dexterity to operate machines and proper hand-eye coordination.
• Visual acuity (corrected) to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts/products.
• Physical ability to perform tasks involving frequent stooping, bending, lifting up to 40 pounds, and carrying up to 50 pounds.

• Occasional standing, sitting, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling.
• Talking and hearing.
• Lifting and carrying up to 10 pounds frequently, up to 40 pounds occasionally, and up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Work Environment

Plant environment. Required to wear a hat, safety glasses, and steel-toe shoes while performing specific tasks or in specific manufacturing areas.
