About the role
Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Machine Operator II (2nd Shift) - Paint Line. The rate for this position is $22.73 plus $.50 shift differential per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. The core hours are Monday through Friday from 2:45pm to 11:15pm. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, qualifications, and market and business considerations.
Responsibilities
- Understand and proficiently operate assigned machines/presses.
- Troubleshoot various machinery problems.
- Identify and tag tubs according to shop orders.
- QC and document all parts run on machines.
- Retrieve and enter data into SAP computer system.
- Inventory components and supplies as needed to ensure efficient and timely production.
- Keep work areas clean and safe.
Qualifications

- No relocation benefit is offered for this position.
- Only candidates residing within the immediate area of Reno, NV (50 miles) will be considered for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Six (6) months + of experience with forming or bending machines.
- Six (6) months + of experience reading drawings or blueprints.
- Experience confirming that parts conform to specs using measuring tools.
Skills
- Ability to operate machinery and presses safely.
- Ability to read, accurately interpret and produce parts from blueprints and shop drawings.
- Ability to identify different gauges and types of raw material.
- Ability to accurately read tape measure, scales, and calipers.
- Ability to work effectively and productively as member of a team with minimal supervision.

Additional Information
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand on feet continuously during working shift. Ability to lift and bend on a continuous basis. Ability to regularly lift 35 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation. Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment as required by company policy and procedure.
- Working Conditions: Exposure to cold/heat weather conditions while shipping doors are open. Fast paced working, while maintaining safety priorities.
