About the role
TE Connectivity is seeking candidates for an Assembly Operator position at our Fairview, NC facility. The Assembly Operator is responsible for component assembly. This role requires use of microscopes, small hand tools, and fitting components into fixtures. The ideal candidate can work well in teams, has the desire to learn, and possesses the attention to detail needed to make quality parts for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Inspection of own work using quality standards and work instructions.
- Conduct pull tests as needed for particular operations.
- Measure components using calipers, gages, or other measuring devices.
- Inspect product to print.
- Complete necessary operational paperwork required to maintain the traceability of product.
- May troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to equipment.
- General housekeeping of work area.
- Follow company and department guidelines, procedures, and policies.
- Follow safety guidelines.
- Perform all other work-related duties as assigned.
- Read and perform tasks according to drawings.
- Use of work instructions is also required.
Requirements
- HS diploma or GED preferred.
- Must be eligible to work under ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) compliance.
- Basic computer skills preferred.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to interpret product blueprints preferred.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work to successfully accomplish job duties.
- Experience with using measuring devices (gages, calipers, etc.) preferred.
- 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Must be able to move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time.
- Must be able to operate machinery.
- Must be able to move between work zones.
- Must be proficient and able to understand written instructions in English language.

Pay
Competitive base salary: $18.10 per hour (subject to change dependent on physical location). Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity. Total compensation includes base salary, incentives, and benefits.
