About the role

As an Assembly Mechanic Level 2 FAA at Honeywell Aerospace, you will assemble, test, and ensure the quality of mechanical and electromechanical components and systems. Your work will contribute to the efficient production and delivery of high-quality products that meet customer specifications and industry standards. This on-site position is based in Phoenix, Arizona, reporting directly to the Production Supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical and electromechanical components according to engineering specifications and work instructions.
  • Perform quality checks and tests on assembled products to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Identify and troubleshoot assembly issues and collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve them.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment following company safety policies and procedures.
  • Document assembly processes and report production data accurately.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in mechanical assembly or related manufacturing roles, preferably at a level 2 or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical assembly techniques, tools, and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and work instructions accurately.
  • Experience with quality control processes and the ability to identify defects or assembly issues.
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic measurement instruments used in assembly.
  • All applicants for DOT/FAA safety-sensitive positions must pass a pre-employment drug test for Marijuana, Cocaine, Amphetamines, Phencyclidine (PCP), and Opioids.
  • Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status) due to U.S. export control laws and regulations.

Qualifications

  • Technical or vocational training in mechanical assembly is a plus.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and follow safety protocols.
  • Basic knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
