Assembly Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities
- Cultivate continuous improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency, quality, and reliability of assembly processes
- Design, build, and implement assembly tooling, fixtures, and error-proofing solutions
- Troubleshoot and support automated assembly equipment, PLC-controlled systems, and production machinery
- Develop and maintain assembly process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures
- Analyze production data and identify opportunities to reduce downtime, improve throughput, and eliminate waste
- Support new product launches and equipment installations within assembly operations
- Partner with Maintenance, Quality, and Production teams to resolve process and equipment issues
- Manage assembly equipment modifications, upgrades, and validation activities
- Afford support projects related to assembly automation and process improvements
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (BS) in Engineering or Technology from a four-year college or university preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience considered
- Experience supporting manufacturing or assembly operations in a production environment
- Knowledge of mechanical assembly processes, tooling, fixtures, and automated equipment
- Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled systems and automated machinery preferred
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills
- Experience with AutoCAD, or similar design software preferred
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with multiple departments
