Assembler - Weekend Shift

Essential Duties

• Performs winding, assembly, complex and repetitive wiring, and produces complete sub-assemblies and final assembly of control equipment.
• Checks electrical/mechanical performance of completed assemblies.
• Works from drawings, engineering specifications, and manufacturing information to complete assembly and wiring of control equipment.
• Determines necessary parts and materials and prepares requisitions to obtain parts and materials from stock.
• Cuts, strips, and attaches terminals to wire.
• Routes out, assembles, wires, adjusts, fits, and modifies parts, components, and sub-assemblies to form completed control assemblies.
• Makes repairs and executes engineering and customer changes as required.
• Reports irregularities or equipment malfunctions to coach.
• Maintains records as required.
• Maintains work area in a neat and orderly manner.
• Operates power tools, including battery-powered and compressed air tools.

Qualifications

• Able to lift 35 pounds – waist, shoulder, overhead.
• Reads blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• Proven history of safe work habits.
• Able to work effectively without direct supervision.
• Computer skills – Microsoft Office, Internet, etc.
• Able to work overtime – weekdays and weekends.
