We are seeking a detail-oriented and mechanically skilled skid assembler / builder to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will read engineering blueprints to construct custom, modular process systems from the ground up. You will securely mount sub-assemblies, route pipe spools, install valves, and complete mechanical alignments within a fast-paced fabrication environment. Key Duties And Responsibilities Interpret Blueprints: Read and analyze Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), mechanical drawings, and isometric schematics.Mechanical Fabrication: Perform drilling, tapping, bolting, and general structural fastening to mount pumps and components to the skid bases.Component Integration: Position and align complex system components like industrial pumps, valves, sensors, and agitators.Piping Installation: Measure, cut, thread, and secure various pipe spools (made of stainless steel, PVC) onto the skid framework.Quality Assurance: Inspect completed units against design specs to check for proper component alignment and tight tolerances.Material Handling: Safely operate forklifts to position heavy components into place and move completed skids to the testing area.Electrical Work (Optional): Route basic conduit, pull wire, and wire electrical control boxes according to circuit schematics.Quality & Testing: Conduct pressure tests and functional checks to identify leaks or defects; verify that all completed units meet stringent safety and quality standards. Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain assembly tools and machinery to keep them operational and accurate. Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Proficiency: Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in plumbing, basic hydraulics, or electrical wiring preferred.Manual Dexterity: High degree of hand-eye coordination for handling intricate parts and ensuring tight, leak-proof connections.Safety Awareness: Comprehensive knowledge of safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and handling of potentially hazardous materials.Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy components, often up to 50 pounds.Education: A high school diploma or GED is standard; technical certifications or associate degrees in fields like fluid power or industrial technology are highly valued. Common Tools Used Hand Tools: Wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers.Power Tools: Drills, saws, and pneumatic tools.Precision Measuring: Calipers, tapes, and pressure gauges.Material Handling: Forklifts or hoists for positioning large components. Tools provided by Solenis, however you are also welcome to bring your own tools to add to your workstation. Work Environment All assembly work takes place in our indoor fabrication shop where skids are fabricated, welded, assembled, and tested…before being shipped to our customer. =Onsite We understand that candidates will not meet every single desired qualification.
