Assembler Technician

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and install rail equipment, structural components, and mechanical systems.
  • Install and route hydraulic hoses, valves, pumps, cylinders, and related components.
  • Perform electrical upfitting including wiring harnesses, switches, sensors, lighting, alarms, and control systems.
  • Read and interpret assembly drawings, hydraulic schematics, and electrical diagrams.
  • Mount and connect components to commercial trucks, railcars, and specialized equipment platforms.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems during final assembly and testing.
  • Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of assembly, manufacturing, railcar, truck equipment, or heavy equipment experience.
  • Mechanical aptitude with hydraulic and electrical installation experience.
  • Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and hydraulic schematics.
  • Experience with rail equipment, railcars, maintenance-of-way equipment, or truck upfitting preferred.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
