Assembler/Packer

About the role

The Assembler I position at HuFriedyGroup involves assembling medical devices, performing leak tests, and troubleshooting issues. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to quality standards, and compliance with FDA and ISO guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspection of raw materials and production assemblies to meet quality standards.
• Utilize blueprints to set up each build according to work orders.
• Assemble components consisting of machined and purchased parts.
• Perform leak and assembly tests per work instructions.
• Communicate with engineering when necessary to troubleshoot issues.
• Verify assembly compliance with quality standards before submission to quality assurance.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized work area and sustain process improvements.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as line-side ideas, kaizens, and projects.
• Execute engineering work requests and special sample requests.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 1 year manufacturing experience, preferred.
• Able to lift 30 lbs. maximum.
• Dexterity to work with small parts.
• Able to sit/stand for long periods of time.
• Able to bend, stoop, twist, reach, pull, push, and engage in repetitive physical movement.

Qualifications

• Experience with assembly and subassemblies.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, tubing diagrams.
• Utilize hand and power tools to perform assemblies.
• Attention to detail and ability to interpret and follow written instructions.
• Good communication skills (written and verbal).

Skills

• Familiarity with FDA and ISO9001, and ISO 13485 guidelines.
