Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is seeking an Assembler II (2nd Shift) for our Reno, NV facility. The rate for this position is $22.73 plus a $0.50 shift differential per hour. Overtime may be required.
Schedule
Core hours are Monday through Friday, 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM.

Responsibilities
- Perform simple repetitive bench assembly of parts and components using bolts, screws, hand tools, clips, and other fastening devices
- Work under close supervision and may work from models, samples, or simple diagrams
- Handle 50-pound parts with or without accommodation to assist with large part construction
- Support all facility Continuous Improvement and LEAN initiatives, including:
- Maintain 5-S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain) throughout shop floor and office areas
- Track and sustain all visual management tools such as layered audits, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) boards, and other LEAN tools
- Encourage, support, and actively participate in Kaizen improvements and events
Requirements
- No relocation is available; only candidates currently residing within 50 miles of the Reno, NV facility will be considered (Active-Duty Military Service members exempt from geographical limitation)
- Eaton will not sponsor employment-based immigration for this position
Qualifications
Basic (Required) Qualifications:
- Able to operate machinery and presses safely
- Able to read and accurately interpret and produce parts from blueprints and shop drawings
- Able to identify different gauges and types of raw material
- Able to work effectively and productively as a team member with minimal supervision
Physical Requirements
- Able to stand continuously, lift, and bend during working shift with or without reasonable accommodations
- Able to regularly lift up to 50 pounds without assistance, with or without reasonable accommodations
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment as mandated by company policy and procedure
