Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is seeking an Assembler II (3rd shift) at our Reno, NV location. The hourly rate for this position is $22.73 plus a $1 shift differential per hour.

Core hours: 10 PM – 6:30 AM (3rd shift)

Responsibilities
- Assist and set up for Welders in the Cable Tray department
- Assemble and stack/band Cable Tray ladders
- Handle materials and parts up to 50 pounds frequently throughout the shift
- Perform simple repetitive assembly of parts and components using bolts, screws, hand tools, clips, and other fastening devices
- Work under close supervision and may work from models, samples, or simple diagrams
- Support all facility Continuous Improvement and LEAN initiatives, including:
- Maintain 5-S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain) throughout shop floor and office areas
- Track and sustain all visual management tools such as layered audits, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) boards, and additional LEAN tools
- Encourage, support, and actively participate in Kaizen improvements and events
Requirements
- Consistently lift 50 pounds
- Able to stand continuously during the working shift
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment
- Must be able to handle materials up to 50 pounds
- Require fine manipulation of hands with repetitive motion
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems as they arise
- Handle materials weighing 50 pounds multiple times per day
Qualifications
- No relocation package offered; candidates must reside within 50 miles of the Reno, NV work location (Active-Duty Military Service members exempt from geographical limitations)
- Eaton will not consider applicants requiring employment immigration sponsorship for this position
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience confirming parts conform to specifications using measuring tools
- A minimum of 6 months of experience with forming or bending machines
- A minimum of 6 months of experience reading drawings or blueprints

Physical Demands:
- Able to regularly lift 35 pounds without assistance; lift more than 50 pounds with assistance
- Exposure to high noise levels (ear protection may be required)
- Exposure to high-traffic areas with forklift activity
- Work environment exposes to oils, lubricants, and solvents
- Require fine manipulation of hands with repetitive motion
Working Conditions:
- Exposure to cold/heat when roll-up doors are open
- Fast-paced working environment while maintaining safety priorities
