Assembler Apprentice

Responsibilities

• Mechanical and electrical component assembly
• Mechanical and electrical functional testing
• Packing and crating products
• Training with peers and interfacing with multiple internal departments
• Help ensure all employees go home safely at the end of their working day
• Follow all company policies and procedures, including Global Code of Business Principles, Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, and Operational Framework
• Promote Mirion (Conax Nuclear) Standard of Excellence, incorporating high ethical standards and a culture of honesty and integrity
• Follow government and corporate laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures

Requirements

• Basic use of hand tools and power tools
• Ability to follow detailed instructions
• Ability to read and understand prints
• Ability to read measurement tools (tape measure, scale, etc.)
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Basic computer knowledge
• Strong verbal and listening skills
• Ability to communicate clearly in both oral and written form
• Ability to understand the speech of another person

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Light physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials
• Regularly required to sit or stand, bend, and reach
• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
• Regularly perform repetitive motions
• The noise level in the work environment is usually medium
• Exposed to various elements, but none to the extent of being disagreeable
