About the role

The Assembly Operator performs assembly tasks on a production line, following detailed instructions, blueprints, and work specifications to assemble parts and products while ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and production orders to perform repetitive assembly operations.
  • Utilize hand tools and simple power equipment (hammers, pliers, screwdrivers, wrenches, presses, etc.) to assemble parts.
  • Operate test equipment to check sub-assemblies for functionality; notify supervisor of any issues.
  • Perform bench operations, assembling components such as plates, springs, “O” rings, racks, and valves using screws, nuts, gaskets, spacers, and other parts.
  • Package finished products and prepare labels as required.
  • Conduct minor setup activities for tools and equipment.
  • Record production data (job numbers, part numbers, operations performed, quantities completed) accurately in the computer system.
  • Report defective materials, incomplete operations, or unusual conditions to supervisors.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area, adhering to 5S standards.
  • Follow safety guidelines and company policies.
  • Participate in quality checks and adhere to procedures for non-conforming parts.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate with colleagues to achieve production goals.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Participate in special projects and complete additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1–3 months related experience in assembly or manufacturing preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

This position operates within a manufacturing plant environment. The role involves repetitive assembly, standing, and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Pay

Starting pay rate: $17.05 per hour.

Schedule

3rd shift: 9:00 PM – 5:00 AM.
