General Assembler - 3rd shift 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM (Entry Level)

About the Role

Performs any combination of tasks involved in the manufacture and assembly of medical devices.

Responsibilities

• Follows safety policies and procedures.
• Fulfills all required GMP’s and manufacturing procedures.
• Assembles various types and sizes of products, components, and sub-assemblies using standard and specialty assembly machines or hand operations.
• Operates and performs minor maintenance on equipment.
• Trains manufacturing personnel.
• Participates in continuous improvement activities.

Requirements

• Reads, writes, interprets, and comprehends specifications in English.
• Performs basic math calculations and uses measuring devices and tools.
• Meets or exceeds dexterity requirements.
• Demonstrates visual accuracy through company-approved program.
• Displays a positive attitude.
• Able to work flexible and/or extended hours.
• Willing to rotate into different tasks and responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or at least one (1) year of medical device manufacturing experience, plus one (1) year of consecutive work experience.

Physical Demands

• Ability to work under magnification for long periods of time.
• Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time.
• Able to lift 30 lbs. (with assistance for heavier items).
• Repetitive use of hands for finger, hand, and wrist movements.

Work Environment

May require some exposure to chemicals used in manufacturing processes. Some minor physical inconvenience or discomfort occasionally present in the work situation (moderate noise, disagreeable odors, etc.).
