Assembler - 1st Shift

Eaton’s IS VEH VGNA division is seeking an Assembler for 1st shift in Indianapolis, IN.

Pay

$21.50 per hour

Schedule

Core hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Overtime, including weekends and holidays, may be required as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Remanufacture mechatronic products using disassembly, cleaning, inspecting, assembly, and testing processes following established work instructions
• Cross-train and operate multiple assembly stations during a single shift
• Adhere to all safety and quality procedures, and company policies and guidelines
• Assist in on-the-job training for new employees
• Support Eaton’s Quality (ISO 9001) and Environmental (ISO 14000) systems
• Inspect product for quality acceptance and perform quality checks
• Maintain work within quality and quantity standards
• Maintain work area housekeeping and assist in department/team housekeeping and 5S efforts
• Perform minor and preventative maintenance in assigned workstations

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Must live within 50 miles of the Indianapolis, IN facility (Active Duty Military Service members exempt from geographical limitation)
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future

Skills

• Able to lift up to 25 lbs. regularly from floor to waist
• Periodic lifting of up to 50 lbs. from waist to shoulder
• Able to stand for up to 9 hours with scheduled breaks
• Able to stand, twist, bend, squat, and stoop

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing assembly experience
